Extra Life Game Day 2023: JOIN THE TEAM!
Gaming is something that we’re passionate about here at nicr0nomicon - but not just for the pleasure and entertainment that it provides. Beating personal records and defeating a difficult boss are certainly rewarding, but largely for personal reasons. What is even more exciting is pairing the joy of playing with the knowledge that other people can truly benefit from your gaming grind.
Helping others through entertainment, community building, and supporting charitable causes is what nicr0nomicon is all about. We’ve partnered with Extra Life, an organization that allows gamers to do what they love while also raising money for causes that they believe in, to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network.
In order to support this valuable cause, we provide links to nicr0nomicon’s Extra Life account so that viewers can support our drive to raise money to build an enhanced pediatric wing at our local hospital through the Children’s Miracle Network. This cause is near and dear to our hearts as we’ve spent time in our pediatric ICU during our son’s battle with pediatric pulmonary issues. Being able to support other families in our community who are dealing with child injuries and illness is extremely important to us and we are thrilled to use this platform to help raise money for this cause.
For the past two years, nicr0nomicon has been participating in the annual Extra Life Game Day to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network with a dedicated team of gamers. This year, Extra Life’s Game Day is taking place on Saturday, November 4th and we would like to invite you to sign up and join our team, the Black Hills Council of Gamers, for this fun and worthy cause.
You can participate by running your own stream, joining in the chat with the nicr0mancers, or watching other team members as they take on their chosen games. For his part, nicr0nomicon will be working on beating as many Metroid games as possible on November 4th.
